Wescan Appoints New President

The Board of Directors of Wescan Goldfields Inc. (“Wescan” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce today that Maurice (Moe) F. Lindsay has been appointed President of the Company. Mr. Lindsay was most recently employed as the Vice President Project Development and Engineering for Centerra Gold Inc. Mr. Lindsay is a mining engineer with over 35 years of international experience in all phases of mining including engineering, operations and development including being responsible for a number of development projects from the construction phase through to the start-up of new operations overseas.
Mr. Kenneth E. MacNeill, Chairman and CEO of Wescan stated “I look forward to Moe joining our team. We have a number of projects at various stages of development and the knowledge and experience Moe brings to the table will allow us to realize the full potential of these projects as well as to expand the horizons of Wescan beyond the borders of Saskatchewan should opportunities present themselves.”
