Wescan Announces Change Of Directors

The Board of Directors of Wescan Goldfields Inc. (“Wescan”) is pleased to announce that it has appointed two new directors: Mr. Gary Billingsley and Ms. Val Michasiw. The appointments are subject to review and approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mr. Billingsley has a BSc. Advanced degree in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan; a Professional Engineer and a Professional Geoscientist and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan; and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada.
For the last five years, Mr. Billingsley has been a director and an officer of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd., a TSX-V listed company, and currently serves as President. Mr. Billingsley was also a director of Shore Gold Inc. from June 1995 to October 2000, and a Vice President of Shore Gold Inc. from September 1996 to October 2000. Mr. Billingsley has worked in the mining industry for the past 35 years, including 28 years in Saskatchewan.
Ms. Michasiw is the Corporate Secretary-Treasurer of Claude Resources Inc., a publicly traded gold and oil and gas corporation whose shares are listed on the TSX and AMEX, a position which she has held since March, 2000. Ms. Michasiw has been with Claude Resources Inc. since 1984 working in the areas of Investor Relations and Corporate Development.
The Board of Directors also announces the resignations of Mr. Len Saleken and Mr. Michael Carr and would like to thank both for their contributions to the Company since shortly after its incorporation and wish them both well in their respective future endeavors.
